Nama latin : Zingiber Officinale
Kegunaan : biasa digunakan sebagai bahan utama pembuatan obat batuk, pilek dan masuk angin.
Khasiat/manfaat :
- menangkal infeksi bakteri dan virus
- meredakan mual
- menurunkan gula darah dan kolesterol
- mengatasi masalah pencernaan
- meningkatkan fungsi otak
Tanaman jahe termasuk tanaman Toga (Tanaman Obat Keluarga) berasal dari Asia Tenggara dan telah digunakan selama ribuan tahun sebagai rempah dan obat tradisional. Rimpangnya berwarna coklat keemasan, memiliki aroma yang khas, dan rasa sedikit pedas.
Budidaya jahe cukup sederhana, menggunakan potongan rimpang dengan tunas. selain menjadi bumbu masakan, jahe juga bisa diolah menjadi bubuk, minyak atau teh.
